Lufthansa is Germany's national airline, and the biggest airline in Europe in terms of the overall number passengers carried. It is also the world's fourth-largest airline in terms of overall passengers carried.

Lufthansa's Airbus A380 is the world's largest passenger plane, and was named "Johannesbug" after the city of Johannesburg in a ceremony at OR Thambo Airport in Johannesburg in June 2011.
