Egypt Air

Egypt Air is the national airline of Egypt. The airline's main head office is situated at Cairo International Airport, and its network of flights extend to all continents, including destinations in Africa, Europe, Asia and the United States.

The airline is part of the Star Alliance group, giving it access to a comprehensive network of the world's leading airlines, which allows passengers to book connections to almost any country in the world.

Egypt Air is owned by the Egyptian government, but it operates independently without any interference from the government.  EgyptAir Express is the local wing of the airline, and it offers passengers domestic and regional flights.

With a fleet of modern, luxurious aircraft, the carrier offers passengers reliable and comfortable travel at lower fares than a number of its competitors offering similar services.

The stewardesses of Egypt Air decided in November 2012, for the first time since 1932, to begin donning headscarves during certain flights.  While headscarves do not formally form part of their uniforms, the airline has agreed to allow them to exercise their religious rights and wear them if they wish to do so.
